בְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶֽׁר־הִתְהַלַּכְתִּי֮ בְּכָל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ הֲדָבָ֣ר דִּבַּ֗רְתִּי אֶת־אַחַד֙ שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּ֗יתִי לִרְע֛וֹת אֶת־עַמִּ֥י אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר לָ֛מָּה לֹֽא־בְנִיתֶ֥ם לִ֖י בֵּ֥ית אֲרָזִֽים׃
אומעטום װוּ איך בין אומגעגאַנגען צװישן אַלע קינדער פֿון ישׂראל, צי האָב איך אַ װאָרט גערעדט מיט אײנעם פֿון די שבֿטים פֿון ישׂראל, װאָס איך האָב באַפֿױלן צו פֿיטערן מײַן פֿאָלק ישׂראל, אַזױ צו זאָגן: פֿאַר װאָס האָט איר מיר ניט געבױט אַ הױז פֿון צעדערן?
II Samuel
And from the day that I commanded Judges over My people Yisroel.' 'I will give you respite from all your enemies.' Adonoy is telling you that He will establish a monarchy for you.

Wherever I walked with all [the children of] Israel, did I ever speak this thing with any of the tribes [i.e., judges] of Israel whom I commanded to graze My people, saying: Why did you not build for Me a house of cedars?
